BIOTECHNOLOGICAL PRODUCTION AND EXPERIMENTAL LINES FOR THE PRODUCTION OF ENZYMES AND OTHER BIOPREPARATIONS

The biotechnological lines in ZPOW "Pektowin", destined for the production of biopreparations by means of microorganisms, are used mainly for the production of enzyme preparations for food industry. Nowadays in the world increases the demand for enzyme preparations for different untypical applications and for new biopreparations obtained by means of microorganisms.

ZPOW "Pektowin" has a possibility of production of microorganisms and biosynthesis of biopreparations in solid state fermentation and in submerse fermentation in batch and fedbatch version. The further processing of biomass obtained from both fermentation types may be done depending on requirements.

The following final products are possible:

1. concentrated and stabilized bioproduct (e.g. enzymes or others)
2. a microorganism biomass in "live" state as microbiological inoculum for biodegradation of organic waste and in sterilized state as "specific raw material" for further processing. An other group of such products are so-called "raw preparations", i.e. concentrated and stabilized bioproducts with biomass
3. biochemical processed organic semi-finished products (e.g. isolated, concentrated and stabilized fractions of enzymatic hydrolysates of tissues from plants, animals or microorganisms for further utilization in production of medicaments, cosmetics, important additives for food or feed).

Besides the production of biopreparations (mainly enzymes) the company performs so-called open orders or biotechnological services, which are reserved by the orderer as confidentially. It is especially important at making technical tests and introducing of biotechnological experimental works or at introducing into production of new products.

The company has technical possibilities to adapt existing production lines to needs of new technologies in range of modernization of devices and technical lines, energy lines and automation.

A favoring factor at experimental works is the possibility to make trials in small, medium and large scope. With good measuring of the line, recording and visualization of parameters, it is possible to control the process efficiency and to foresee and estimate the production costs in industry scope.
